Bit of Trekkie fanart – was meant to be Nyota Uhura as portrayed in the newest film. About halfway through i realised i don’t remember Uhura holding a phaser at any point in that film. Come to think of it, i don’t remember her holding a phaser at all through the entire Original Series. She definitely had one in “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock,” though.
